This temple is said to be almost two centuries old and considered as one of the oldest temples of India. Bithu Narayan is another name for Lord Vishnu and the temple has a lot of religious significance attached to it. The wooden architecture and carvings make you feel like you are in a different era.
Hadimba Temple:
Hadimba Temple: This temple is situated on Hadimba Peak and offers stunning views of the valley. The temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, the wife of Bhima from the epic Mahabharata. Gaun Beed Waterfall/Beed Plateau: This is a high-altitude meadow that can be reached by a day trek. The views from the Beed Plateau are truly breathtaking. Located at an altitude of 2,000 metres, you will have to trek through Deodar forests to reach this waterfall. Once you get there, it would seem like water is falling from the clouds. The waterfall is located in such a way it is only visible from the mountain in front or from just below it. A lot of people call it the mystical waterfall because of this reason.
Chajwala Peak:
Chajwala Peak: Trek to the Chanjwala Peak to treat your eyes with mesmerising views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges. Located at a height of 9,800 ft, the peak is covered in snow for 4 months and you can cover Bithu Narayan Temple and Hidiba Peak while reaching here. The Chunjwala peak is about 5km from the Hadimba Temple. It’s as undisturbed as they come. It’s a great place to experience the local culture and way of life. You can find sheep grazing and locals playing on the meadows at the top. The trek is around 12km, to and fro from Thachi. Don’t expect your usual touristy maggi and chai points here.

Saponi Dhar: It is a grassland which offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. Start your last day in Thachi Valley early and trek to the unknown Saponidhar grasslands. The journey to Saponi Dhar takes you through dense forests, beautiful grasslands and beautiful apple orchards and quaint hill settlements. In Saponidhar you can enjoy paragliding along with natural beauty.
Ashu Alli Waterfall:
Ashu Alli Waterfall: This waterfall is a hidden gem and is a great place to cool off on a hot day. although reaching till the waterfall is tricky and considered as tough. But you won’t regret once you reach there. First you will reach Ashu Dev Temple, after passing the temple you will come across a stream which has a similar name. After walking for 20 minutes through the stream you will reach the waterfall.

How to Reach Thachi Valley
By Air: The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport, located about 45 km away from Thachi Valley. This airport is connected to Shimla, Chandigarh, and Delhi. From here, you can avail services like buses or taxies to reach Thachi Valley.
By road: You can take any bus from Delhi going towards Manali and get down at Aut. From there you will have to take a taxi or Local Bus to reach thachi valley.
By Rail: Jogindernagar Railway Station is the nearest railhead at 114km.
